The 18th BRICS Summit concluded in New Delhi at Bharat Mandapam. Hosted under India’s 2026 BRICS Chairship, the purpose was “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”

Key Summit Highlights

  • The Open Session: All countries member of BRICKS, expanding partner nations, and international bodies to discuss global governance reforms, rule, fair international trade, applicable fair and equally

  • The New Delhi Declaration: The summit adopted a comprehensive declaration stating for multilateral reform (such as UN restructuring), equitable growth for developing nations, local currency trade, and a strict “zero tolerance” policy against global terrorism.

  • Outreach Engagement: PM Narendra Modi emphasized India’s core vision of a human grounded approach in the philosophy of “Humanity First.”

  • The BRICKS initiative to trade in local currency between two nations or the member of all BRICKS supporting members and starting to not do  any trade or business in American Dollar( USD) has the main key points to make this initiative.

At the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India reaffirmed its role as a builder or leader on the global stage. Guided by the ancient philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (“The World is One Family”), India continues to enhance is remarkable effort to treat every nation equally and fairly along with peacefully without any discriminations

Bridging the Global Divide

In an era marked by economic competitions and fear of having global war, India’s leadership focuses on initiating the voice of the Global South while maintaining  peace and equality with all nations. This makes India to have good qualities to treat with respect fairly and equally despite being low or small in size. Rather than viewing global power through a zero-sum lens, India demonstrates for a multilateral order where developing economies are equal stakeholders in decision-making roles, including the United Nations and global financial institutions.

Key Pillars of India’s Collaborative Vision

  • Humanity First: Prioritizing human development over geopolitical competition. Whether providing the medicines or health needs of an individual including equipment’s and  supplies, extending digital public infrastructure, or supporting food and energy security, India want to treat every nation equally on the ground level and also want to be on the ground level.

  • Peace Through Dialogue: Standing firm amidst of war crisis and providing solid rigidity globally that no modern conflict can be solved on the battlefield. India want to stop the wars globally and only through peace. There is no winning or loosing of anyone nation if one nation attacks another and some people lost there lives in war.  All human beings are equal. Despite being democratic, India supports diplomacy, listens, and constructive negotiation to settle international disputes and try to implement measures which have long-term stability.

  • Digital and Sustainable Partnership: Sharing its open-source public goods—such as unified payment systems (UPI payment system of India) and digital identity frameworks—to help emerging economies build good, dependable, inclusive financial systems across the globe. India  want to apply measures or rules across the globe for not only there own benefit but all around the globe and want to keep peace all around the globe.

  • Shared Prosperity: Equal fair trade terms, climate needs, and resilient supply chains to ensure that economic growth benefits communities across all continents.

By bringing nations together to resolve global challenges make the india not only unique but only the country in the globe to live everyone peacefully, India sends a message of unity: when humanity acts as a single global family, sustainable peace and shared prosperity become achievable for all.
