If you have purchased an AC, it does not mean the amount you paid to buy the AC is everything. There are also additional costs for installing the AC, which will impact your pocket.
Today, I will tell you 5 hidden facts that no one tells when you buy an AC for the first time. The companies don’t tell you that you have to pay for installation, and later you may feel like the companies are cheating you. Earlier, some companies allowed free installation with the purchased unit, but nowadays, due to the increase in the number of units, companies have added extra installation charges. They have now disintegrated it into two parts: first is the purchase, and then are the installation costs.
Understanding installation charges is key. You will discover extra charges only after you’ve purchased it. Neither the AC dealer nor the companies tells you about these hidden extra charges. The installation charges include extra copper pipes, water pipes, hangers, and delivery costs.
Delivery charges: For delivering the AC to your home, there are extra components costs, which are called delivery charges. Usually, it is around 300 to 500 INR to reach your home.
Installation charge: For installation, one agent typically charges between 1100 to 1500 INR per installation. An additional 18% GST will have to be added extra on that.
Wall mount: To fix the AC on a wall, there is a requirement for a wall mount, which typically costs 850 INR.
Copper pipe: If the requirement is up to 3 meters, it is given free; however, if you require more, you need to pay extra, typically around 850 INR for every additional 3 meters.
Drainage pipe: It costs roughly 500 INR.
Power plug: Usually, this is free, but nowadays, some companies charge extra, like 100 INR.
These are the charges that companies do not tell you about, but you will find out when you have purchased the AC.
